OBJECTIVES
To study the characters in basic palynological studies
To study the applications of palynology in day to day life

MODULE I: Anther and pollen-Pollen mother cell, Pollen wall ontogeny. Pollen wall development-exine growth phase -primexine model, undulation model-intine growth phase, production and deposition of sporopollinin-distribution, chemistry and function of sporopillinin Surface coatings on pollen and spore-pollenkit, Tryphine, Perine, Glycocalyx, Viscin Threads, Elaters.
