Secondary education occupies a very strategic position in the educational pattern of the country. It is the link between primary education and higher education. Primary education is intended to provide minimum requirements for survival where as secondary education enables an individual to become a full member of the complicated society. After independence our country achieved a great remarkable change in the field of secondary education. The Government of India, Soon after attainment of independence appointed a number of committees and commissions to review the system of secondary education.....

The major outcome the course include:-

  • Evaluate the nature of secondary education from ancient period to 21st century
  •  Conceptualize the role of secondary education in national development
  •  Critically evaluate the recommendations of various commissions on secondary education
  •  Compare the nature of education under different boards of secondary education CO 5- Analyse the structure of secondary education
  •  Familiarize the structural and hierarchical organization of secondary education.
  •   Apply appropriate classroom management strategies in classrooms
  • Design intervention strategies for overcoming problems of students
  •  Evaluate the support system in meeting the aims of secondary education

 To practice formative and summative comprehensive evaluation of learner performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

To develop tools for evaluating affective and psychomotor competencies.
