Course Description

The course will introduce students the nature, function, and value of literature and it will help them to deal  objectively with literary art. The course will impart ideas to judge the greatness of a work depending upon the criteria used for phenomena of criticism .  There will be case studies of different movements, Schools of criticism. The contributions of scholars in the field of literary criticism from Pre-Islamic era to Contemporary age will be deeply analysed
