RESEARCH METHODOLOGY Course is introduce the basic concepts of research and its different types, to illustrate the art of preparing research findings, to impart the various stages of preparing research articles, thesis and dissertations, to study the different methods of research and analytical techniques, and to introduce the basic canons of scientific enquiry and data collection

CLASSICAL ARABIC LITERATURE

Course Outcomes:

C01: Survey over outstanding aspects of literature of the period from 500 AD to 670 AD

C02: Examine the social structure of the Pre-Islamic period through the prose and poetry

C03: Classify the different forms of Literature in Classical Arabic period

C04: Analyze the interface of popular culture, arts, religion, nationalism and politics

C05: Analyze the literary creations, authors, movements and trends

This course is moulded for enabling the students to communicate Arabic in different occassions especially in their journy. This will help them work in tourism departments and travel agencies. This course will feed them enough vocabulary useful for different situations starting from home. Different kinds of usages will be presented with clear-cut manner of practice and application.

Course Description

The course will introduce students the nature, function, and value of literature and it will help them to deal  objectively with literary art. The course will impart ideas to judge the greatness of a work depending upon the criteria used for phenomena of criticism .  There will be case studies of different movements, Schools of criticism. The contributions of scholars in the field of literary criticism from Pre-Islamic era to Contemporary age will be deeply analysed

This course is taught to provide adequate opportunities to know the Arab world, to train about the language, history, culture, politics and economics of the contemporary Arab world, to study the history of the Arab Countries from Napoleon’s invasion of Egypt to the 21^st Century, to study the issues and concerns of the contemporary Arab world such as Arab Spring, Palestine Issue and Political upheavals, to introduce the Arab countries like Egypt, Iraq, Jordon, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Yemen
