Nanoscience and Nanomaterials
The course offers an introduction to nanoscience and nanomaterials at the M. Phil level. The objectives are:
1. To develop an understanding of the principles and methods of synthesis of nanomaterials,
2. To familiarize the students with the principles and practices of various characterization techniques; and
3. To familiarize students with the fundamentals of quantum confinement effects and quantum transport phenomena so as to help design futuristic electronic, optic, magnetic and spintronic devices.
